Now let’s pick up any of these ideas and repel all those cockroaches, German roaches, or American roaches.

But let me tell you, do not worry if you have one or two cockroaches in your house.

You just kill them with a stick, and you are free. But if you have an infestation, then these ideas will help you. So let’s learn how to get rid of roaches in the kitchen and house.

1. Use Glue Traps

Use Glue Traps to kill the cockroaches

Buy some glue traps from the market and set them up near the area where they are hiding. Do it at night, and you will see they are stuck in it in large numbers in the morning.

Set a few glue traps all over the house, as one may not be enough.

Then you have to throw those boxes outside as you can not remove those roaches from the glue. They are very sticky.

2. Spread Diatomaceous Earth Powder

Spread Diatomaceous Earth Powder on the roaches

Diatomaceous earth is one of the best insect removal ideas you can have. They are quick to kill all kinds of insects, like ants, rats, roaches, flies, and every other insect that lives in your house.

Just spread it near their hiding place, and they will die happily. It will damage their digestive systems and kill them from dehydration.

I have one more similar idea that I will share later in this article (the chalk).

3. Make a Roach Bait with Baking Soda

Make a Roach Bait with Baking Soda

Baking soda attracts roaches, and you may have seen it in your kitchen if you ever bought baking soda for your food.

Mix baking soda with onion or insect killer powder and place it near their infestation.

They will eat the soda and slowly die because of the onion or the toxic powder. Use it a few times to get rid of all those cockroaches in your house.

4. Spray Essential Oils on Them

Spray Essential Oils on the roaches

You can also spray essential oil on them, like peppermint, rosemary, or lemongrass oil, which is only made to repel insects.

Buy any of the essential oils and spread them near the infestation.

These oils release a strong odor that no insect can tolerate. Yes, they will not die but leave your kitchen.

I think it is one of the natural ideas on how to get rid of roaches in the house without killing them.

5. Try Roach Bait Stations

Bait stations are a bit more expensive than all the other ideas that I am giving you here. But it is also an effective idea to get rid of roaches effortlessly.

It is a round-shaped machine that attracts roaches and kills them. The machine works constantly and tries to attract the roaches with the peanut butter.

You can use any other food as bait you want. The effect will be the same.

6. Use Poison to Kill them

Use Cockroach Killer Chalks

Look, all those above ideas are only effective if you have a limited supply of roaches. If new roaches are coming to your house, you have to use poison that kills them at the door.

Use the poison to make a line around every corner of your house, door, and window, and you will see, that in the morning, a few of the roaches are dead there.

Use it only if you see new roaches coming to your house.

7. Use Boric Powder

Use Boric Powder to kill the roaches

Mix the boric powder with honey or peanut butter and build a trap.

When those roaches eat that butter, eat that boric powder too, which will destroy their stomach system, and in a few hours, they will die.

Boric is harmless to humans and pets. So do not be afraid of it. Use it as you like.

8. Get The Roach Killer Chalk

There is a chalk that can kill roaches in just one night. Ask your grocery store, they will help.

Just draw lines using the chalk around the corner of your house where you have seen them and in the morning they will lie dead (talking from my personal experience.)

9. Have a Duck or Cat as a Pet

Ducks eat a lot of roaches. Just get one and she will eat them all in a matter of days. Chickens can also hunt them down.

Only use this idea if you are not living in an apartment as raising the duck is very difficult and cleaning the constant poop is a big headache.

Sometimes cats can also help in dealing with roaches. So get one.

10. Clean, Clean, and Clean

The only reason roaches are coming to your home is that three are a lot of dirty stuff on the floor or on the trash can

Clean it off now and keep it clean on a daily basis. Never throw food to make it rot for days. Take care of it and the roaches will take care of them.
